Track Day Today Information

MX5CQ Trackday - Groups, Starting Order and last minute information

Thanks to all who have entered and paid. There are 37 runners all up which is a nice comfortable number on track. There a several first timers, so please make them welcome and offer assistance if they are looking a bit lost.

The first thing to do is sort out your QR paperwork and get your wristband. Do this at the office at the base of the control tower. Then find Grant Black and give him your MX5CQ Indemnity

form. You can get a form  here. Grant will be at his car (Black NA #1)

or in an office near the Control Tower.

Novices Information Session 11:30am

Lakeside is a demanding, technical track that is difficult to master, and can bite you hard if you are too ambitious. If you are a first timer at Lakeside, converting from bikes, or returning after a long spell: this session is for you.

Please meet at the Drivers Briefing Room near the Control tower at

11:30am. Stan Janke and his lovely assistant will be there to introduce the track, with a little bit of classroom, and then a slow tour of the track, stopping to examine/discuss each corner. Time permitting, there may also be some sighting laps, after the driver's briefing, and before the first timed laps.

Pre-paid  entries are closed

You can still enter on the day but it will cost you $200 cash only, no change given. See Grant Black in the office next to the control tower, or find the black NA #1. He would love to take your money!
