Our MX5 Club is invited as part of the Inter Club Challenge Queensland (ICCQ) to an Economy Run hosted by the Tesla Club - Queensland Chapter, on Mother's Day Eve Saturday.
The Economy Run is a 222 kilometre drive starting at North Lakes and heading via Kilcoy, around Somerset Dam, past Lake Wivenhoe, up Northbrook Parkway to My Glorious, and down through Samford Valley, by Mt Samson and back to North Lakes via Winn Road and Petrie.
Last year our Club won the event, and Lauchlan Thackwell-James won first place. As part of getting serious about earning a place on the ICCQ podium we would like to get as much participation as possible.
The competition is not the most economical car, it is your economy on the day versus the official combined cycle for your car, i.e. the percentage improvement you can make over official measurements.
It is our normal Brisbane Chapter Weekend, and our normal Brisbane Chapter Day is the Sunday being Mothers Day. For May the Brisbane Chapter will do an early run to the Toowoomba David Hack Car Show, the following Sunday (19th).
We register for the event on the Tesla Club Site, which our website Register Button will take you to.
