The next Sunshine Coast Coffee and Cars will be at 10.00 am on Wednesday 20th March. The venue and format will be a little different!
Meet for Coffee at 10.00 am at the Cooroy RSL - 'Coffee on Maple’, 25 Maple Street, Cooroy. Air conditioned, excellent selection of yummies, and nice coffee. There is parking on the street, or carparks further north on the same side as the RSL (next to Bloomhill Op Shop), or behind the RSL - accessed via Garnet Street. We have booked for 16, so please send your acceptances ASAP to Peter and Susie Rogers.
Finish your coffee and chat by 1045, and we will head off to the 4Cs' Motor Museum at 1 Figbird Court, Lake MacDonald. There are about a dozen cars and numerous exhibits to look at and drool over, some very rare and beautiful examples - from a Horseless Carriage from the 19th Century to some very desirable ones post WWII.
Our visit coincides with another group of car enthusiasts who have a bunch of hotrods and American muscle cars. They and we will park on the expanse of grass in front of the buildings and admire each other’s wheels. There will be a conducted tour and history lesson at ‘elevenish ’ for both groups together...
Admission is $5 to the Museum, and hosts Colin and Maxine will have instant coffee at $3 a cup if you need more caffeine.
Thanks for the info, Rod Barwick; I would never have known such a gem existed.
